The makers of Batti Gul Meter Chalu, starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, wrapped up the film's shoot with a song. Titled 'Hard Hard', the song is sung by Mika Singh, with Ganesh Acharya doing the choreography. The lyrics have been written by Siddharth-Garima, who have also penned the story of the film. The music has been composed by Sachet Parampara.
The film's makers shared a picture from the song. Actor Divyendu Sharma is said to be part of the song, too, but we don’t see him in the picture.
With Mika behind the mic, we can only assume that this is going to be one fun number.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu, directed by Shree Narayan Singh, has faced hurdles to get the shoot completed. Earlier this year, the shoot was halted after the film faced financial issues involving the two producers KriArj Entertainment and T-Series. The latter then took over the film completely, with director Shree Narayan also getting the co-producer's credit.
Not much is known about the film’s plot, except that it is set in Uttarakhand. Originally, the film was titled Roshni, but the name was later changed to Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Going by the title, the film was thought to be inspired from Katiyabaaz (2013), a documentary on the issue of electricity theft in the city of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. However, speaking to Cinestaan.com last year, Shree Narayan denied that his story had any similarity with the documentary.
The film was initially slated to be released on 31 August this year, but given the shoot's delay, it is likely that the release will be postponed. Also, Shraddha Kapoor's Stree is scheduled to be released on 31 August. Apart from Shahid and Shraddha, the film also stars actress Yami Gautam.
