The fourth film from writer-director Milap Zaveri, Satyameva Jayate, features actors John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee in a thrilling fight against corruption. The film's second song, ‘Paniyon Sa’ was released today puts the action on hold as John’s character, Mohan Yadav, meets and falls for a young girl, played by newcomer Aisha Sharma.
The breezy romantic track is sung by Atif Aslam and Tulsi Kumar. The lyrics are by Kumaar and the song is composed by Rochak Kohli. Following the remake ‘Dilbar’, this song seems agreeable, but while Aslam’s voice is fit for this song, Kumar’s voice feels a bit weak.

The lyrics of the chorus get a bit repetitive with constant use of the song’s title and its rhymes.
For the song’s picturisation, the characters of John and Sharma are seen falling for each other. This after Sharma jokingly asks John when they meet if he is actually the serial killer murdering police officers. In the same vein, he answers yes.
Aisha Sharma makes her Hindi film debut opposite John. Aisha, a former model, is the younger sister of actress Neha Sharma who starred in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 (2013) and Youngistaan (2014).
‘Paniyon Sa’ does well to set up the romantic chemistry between the two leads. Directed by Zaveri, Satyameva Jayate sets up an Independence Day clash on 15 August against Akshay Kumar’s period film Gold.
