The younger brother of Neil Nitin Mukesh is joining the family business by turning director with a yet untitled home production. Naman Nitin Mukesh, son of singer Nitin Mukesh and grandson of legendary singer Mukesh, is already an assistant to director Sujeeth on Saaho (2019) starring Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor and his older brother Neil.

The home production, under the banner of NNM Films, will be the debut of Neil as producer. He will co-produce the thriller-drama with Madan Paliwal of Miraj Group. Neil made the announcement of his younger brother's directorial debut today.

"It's a coming-of-age story of a young boy who eventually learns that our perception doesn't always align with the reality," the actor-turned-producer told Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid.

The two brothers have been working on the script for two years. Neil has written the script while Naman will direct the feature. Naman shared a photo of the film's completed script for NNM Films on his Instagram account.

Neil also revealed that he is not a part of the film, as yet. The actor said to the newspaper, "I hope Naman approaches me. I've written the script with myself in mind, but Naman has the freedom to decide his cast. As an actor I'm pricey. It's an ensemble cast, so we have started approaching different actors.

The brothers are also hoping to recruit their father, Nitin Mukesh, to sing a song for the film. Neil said Nitin had agreed to record the banner's theme song which will represent three generations in film industry.

Besides Sujeeth, Naman has also assisted filmmakers Abbas-Mastan and Bejoy Nambiar and also worked on ad films and web content.

Naman's film will begin filming in India this September.
