Actor Simbu's next film with director Venkat Prabhu is called Maanaadu

Actor Simbu’s next film with director Venkat Prabhu has been titled Maanaadu.

Director Venkat Prabhu wrote about the development on his Twitter handle. “The moment all you STR fans waiting for!!! We are really proud to announce our next title!! It’s Maanaadu!! (sic)” he wrote.

Simbu aka. Silambarasan, who commands a huge fan following in Tamil Nadu, too sent out a video to the media in which he said, “I am very happy that everybody likes the title of my film with Venkat Prabhu. I have been longing for this combination for a long time. Finally, it is only now that the proper time and opportunity for such a project has presented itself. Suresh Kamatchi is producing the film and I am confident that it will come out well.”

Further, the actor dismmissed reports that he will be soon joining politics. Earlier, a few news reports claimed that Simbu is looking forward to join politics and hence is working in a film titled Maanaadu, which means 'public meeting'.

“It is true that film has a political issue in it. But then there is no truth in those saying that I will be coming to politics and it is for this reason that I am doing such a film. However, I cannot shy away from talking about what must be spoken in a film,” the actor clarified.
