Mahaakshay marries Madalsa Sharma after initial cancellation of ceremony

Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty's son, Mahaakshay had a civil marriage with fiancee, actress Madalsa Sharma on Saturday after the traditional ceremony was cancelled. The marriage plans on Saturday (7 July) had to be cancelled after a police investigating team arrived at the venue in Ooty to investigate the charges of rape, forceful abortion and threat against him and his mother Yogeeta Bali.

Mahaakshay and Sharma had a traditional marriage ceremony today, as per a report in the daily Bombay Times.

The report also mentions that there was a sangeet ceremony yesterday and both the families had a small ceremony to celebrate the union. Interim bail was granted to Mahaakshay and Bali on 8 July.

A Hindi and Bhojpuri actress filed a complaint against Mahaakshay for rape and forceful abortion by spiking her drink. She has claimed that the actor was in a relationship with her and had promised to marry her. Bali is the co-accused in the case for allegedly threatening the victim of dire consequences.

Neeraj Gupta, one of the lawyers representing the victim, has slammed the court for granting anticipatory bail to the two. “We are not at all happy with the court’s order. It is surprising how anticipatory bail has been granted at the very initial stage of the investigation. The accused are very much capable of affecting the investigation, the evidence and witnesses of the case. We will approach Delhi high court against the said order. My client is under tremendous mental and physical torture,” he told the publication.
