Telugu superstar Nagarjuna is set to return to Hindi cinema after a long gap of 15 years. The actor has reportedly joined the cast of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, as reported by Deccan Chronicle, a tabloid. The second schedule of the film commenced today (10 July).

The report quoted a source as saying, "Nagarjuna wanted to do a Hindi film from a long time, but was looking for an interesting project. He finally gave his nod to this one. He also agreed to do this film as his favourite actor and good friend Amitabh Bachchan is also starring in it."

Bachchan and Nagarjuna have earlier worked together in Mukul Anand’s Khuda Gawah (1992). Bachchan had also played a small role in Nagarjuna’s Hindi film Agni Varsha (2002). The two were last seen together in the Telugu film Manam (2014).

Nagarjuna's last appearance in a Hindi film was a cameo in JP Dutta’s LOC: Kargil in 2003.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra is a fantasy drama that stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan.
