As far as the number of films and performance were concerned, Rajkummar Rao was the star of 2017. Rao's success has bagged him a number of projects in the new year as well.
The Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) actor was roped in by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for Fanne Khan where he will share screen space with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor.
Now, the actor has signed up for Maddock Films' horror comedy, opposite Shraddha Kapoor. Rao shared a picture of him with Kapoor at a reading session.
The actor, while praising the "most wonderful" Kapoor, preferred to keep the title of the film a secret. "Getting ready to roll our horror comedy with the most wonderful Shraddha Kapoor," he tweeted.

Cinestaan.com contacted Maddock Films' founder Dinesh Vijan to know the title of the film, but the producer said a formal announcement would be made on 13 January, and confirmed that the film will be released in 2018 itself.
There is also no word yet on who will direct the film. "I'm not directing the film. You will come to know the title and the director once the film goes on the floors on 13 January," Vijan replied via text message.
