In a recent conversation with Cinestaan.com, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap said that Hindi film celebrities are feeling a sense of fear these days, which is stopping them from voicing their opinions. Now, actress Kriti Sanon has echoed a similar thought.
During an interview with Rajeev Masand, the actress said that one must be careful while giving opinion or not give it at all. “If they (media) ask you questions on matters that are controversial, although you do have an opinion and want to say something, you have to make sure you either filter it right or say it diplomatically or don’t say it. Your opinions are taken (seriously) and each word is picked up. It becomes a much bigger issue,” she said.
This is not something she likes though. “I think it’s frustrating also because sometimes you do have an opinion and you are like, ‘Let me not talk about it.’ I am not someone who doesn’t voice out her opinion at all. But then I choose what to (say) and what not to (say),” Sanon added.
The actress was last seen and appreciated in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017).
