Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan attend fundraising event in Malaysia

Veteran actors Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth attended a fundraising event in Malaysia. Held today and tomorrow, the event aims to collect funds for constructing a building for the South Indian Film Artists' Association. 

The two stars weren’t the only people from the Southern film industries to grace the event. The list of attendees included artistes like Vijay, Surya, Arya, Vishal, Dhanush, Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi, Jayam Ravi, Sivakarthikeyan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amala Paul. A total of 250 artistes from the Southern film industries are expected to attend the event over the two days. 

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have recently entered politics. The former announced on 31 December that he would be forming a new political party. On the other hand, Kamal Haasan confirmed his decision to join politics in September last year.

Both are yet to provide a proper plan for their journey into politics.
