The video introducing Aanand L Rai’s Zero became the talk of the town with Shah Rukh Khan’s antics in it as a dwarf. Further, the actor’s poetic tweet in Hindi on the film also became viral. It read, "Tickitein liye baithe hain log meri zindagi ki. Tamasha bhi poora hona chahiye (People have bought tickets to my life, the performance should also be completed)."
Now, poet Mithilesh Baria has accused the makers of plagiarizing the line from one of his works and believes the line is also a part of the film.
While talking to Mid-Day, a tabloid, he said, “This appears to be a lapse on their part. But when the project is of this stature, all a writer wants is to be credited for his creation. I was shocked and hurt when fans brought this to my notice. It appears that the line is a part of the film's narrative, not a mere tweet. So, I hope they give me my due credit.”
Later, Rai reportedly spoke with Baria and assured him that the 'error will be rectified'. However, the poet is not satisfied, and said, “He assured me that it was a mistake, and he would do his best to rectify it. I am not sure how he will do so. Will Shah sa'ab put out another tweet crediting me? Rai ji seemed like an affable man. I hope they are fair.”
Zero is all set to be released on 21 December 2018.
