Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai earned Rs7.50 crore, approximately, on its second Tuesday, 2 January, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com, which is almost half of what it earned the previous day, 1 January — Rs 18 crore, approximately.
The film, starring Salman Khan and KAtrina Kaif, earned a total of Rs206 crore, approximately, in its first week. Now, the total earning stands at a staggering Rs280.04 crore, approximately.
Until yesterday, it looked like the film will manage to reach the magical score of Rs300 crore. But after yesterday’s bookings, the upward growth seems to have dwindled on the graph. However, this does not mean the film has lost its chances of being Salman’s highest grosser ever.
The Rs300 crore record is currrently held by Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), which earned a whopping Rs316 crore domestically.
Tiger Zinda Hai's performance in the coming days of the week will determine if it can match or get past the big number. The coming weekend looks promising too as there are no big releases scheduled for Friday, 5 January.
