Sonam Kapoor and Anil Kapoor will be sharing the screen in Shelly Chopra Dhar's upcoming, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The Pad Man actress put up a picture of the father-daughter's first shot together on her Instagram page.
'Ek Ladki ko dekha! My first shot with my father after 10 years in this industry!', wrote the actress.
While the clapboard of the scene looms large in the foreground, the background has the director Chopra Dhar, peering into the screen working out the nuances of her previous shot. Beside her is a salt and pepper bearded Anil staring just as intently into the screen.
The film arrives 10 years after Sonam made her debut in Saawariya (2007) opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Since then, the father-daughter duo have not shared screen space despite having worked with the same actors in different films.
The film's title is a take on the iconic song from Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film, 1942: A Love Story (1994). Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga will also star Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla in pivotal roles.
The film will be released on 12 October this year.
