Anurag Kashyap seems to be rolling on since Mukkabaaz (2018). The director announced the completion of the web-series, Sacred Games, on his social media today, and listed a slew of projects lined up this year.
The web-series, Sacred Games, which will go on air on Netflix's streaming service, is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra's best-selling novel of the same name. The series, starring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, is one of Kashyap's first such venture into the digital medium.
Post the series, the director will take on his next project, Manmarziyan, with his Mukkabaaz producer, Aanand L Rai. The film stars Taapsee Pannu, Abhishek Bachchan, and Vicky Kaushal. It will mark Bachchan's return to the big screen after two years.
The tweet also pointed out to a 'secret' short film by the director. Kashyap recently directed the short film, Chhuri, starring Tisca Chopra, Surveen Chawla and himself. The film managed to win a nomination at the Filmfare Awards 2018 under the Best Short Film category.
Kashyap is also collaborating with Radhika Apte on another short film, Love And Lust, which will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP productions.
It is likely that the director will later start work on his segment for Bombay Talkies 2, the sequel to the 2013 film of the same name.
