Rishi and Neetu Kapoor shower praises on Deepika Padukone for Padmaavat

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavaat has had an impressive opening at the box office. Though the film has got mixed reviews, the performances of its lead cast — Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and even Shahid Kapoor — has been appreciated. Padukone received a pleasant surprise when her former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s parents, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor appreciated her performance. So moved were the senior Kapoors by Padukone’s show that they send her an appreciation note and a bouquet.

“Excellent. So, very proud of you,” wrote Rishi and Neetu in the card.

Thrilled by their gesture, Padukone thanked the actors for gracing the special screening of her film.

“It was so lovely seeing both of you yesterday...Thank You for all the love & appreciation,” Padukone wrote in her Instagram post.

The Kapoors have been fond of Padukone from the time the actress and their son Ranbir Kapoor were dating. While Ranbir and Padukone have long broken up, the Kapoors have been cordial with the actress.

The Padmaavat actress is currently dating her Padmaavat co-star Ranveer Singh.
