With February slowly appearing over the horizon, it looks like the Valentine fever is taking over the airwaves. The latest song from Aleya Sen's Dil Juunglee returns in time to recreate the magic of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) with 'Gazab Ka Hai Din'.
The song, incidentally, was launched by Juhi Chawla herself. 'This Valentines, lets revist & rewind,' wrote the actress.
This Valentines, lets revist & rewind , here’s the beautiful spin off of my favourite #GazabKaHaiDin from #DilJuungleehttps://t.co/T4OGgxBkPH@poojafilms @honeybhagnani @jackkybhagnani @taapsee @Saqibsaleem

The song, while paying tribute to the original, does take its own path. The composition captures the soothing tone of the original by adding its own verses. The visuals do capture the thrill and exuberance of first love, and the song definitely is one for the moment. Bagchi's mellow voice works well in tandem with Prakriti Kakar's to create the right atmosphere.
While Bagchi pays tribute to the original by borrowing the iconic stanza, there is a lot more to this song than it being just another reprisal of a classic. In the age of remixes, this feels like a touch of newness.
Dil Juunglee stars Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem and will be released on 16 February.
