Actress Taapsee Pannu's turn as the gutsy RAW agent in Naam Shabana (2017) and Pink (2016) has led to a turnaround in her career, and her life. On National Girl Child Day, the actress is starting an initiative to include self defense classes for girl children across the country.
The actress is now involved with several NGOs in spreading the education of self defence classes for girl children across the country. Pannu started the initiative from her own alma mater. With its success, the actress has now pledged support to help take it further across the country.
Appropriately, the promise from the actress arrives on National Girl Child Day in India, a day to promise and celebrate the girl children in the country.
Speaking on this Pannu said, "I wish on this National Girl child day we stand for each other and for oneself and we make it a collaborative effort. In a patriarchal society like ours, providing education and the right mindfulness for young girls from the beginning has become imperative. So on this day, I wish to activate more initiatives for these girls so that they become independent and can fight for themselves. We are in conversation with few experts and NGO's and I hope it works out soon."
Pannu will soon be seen in the film Dil Juunglee with Saqib Saleem and Manmarziyaan with Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan in the coming year.
