Veere Di Wedding might be some time coming, but Swara Bhaskar is getting into the habit of all women parties. This time, the actress got together with some serious talent like Jaya Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Konkona Sensharma, Tillotama Shome and Seema Pahwa to celebrate Basant Panchami.
As the senior actress, Bachchan hosted a whole train of female stars, many of whom were nominees and winners at the recently concluded Filmfare Awards. Among them was director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and her Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) star, Seema Pahwa. The director won the award for Best Director for the film, while Pahwa was nominated for Best Actor in Supporting Role (Female) category.

Also present were Konkona Sensharma and Tillotama Shome. Sensharma's A Death In The Gunj (2017) won her Best Debut Director award at the event.
In the centre was Vidya Balan, whose delightful performance in Tumhari Sulu (2017) earned her the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) gong.
Swara Bhaskar's Anaarkali of Aarah (2017) also earned her a great deal of praise last year. The actress will now be seen in a more glamorous avatar alongside Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shikha Talsania in Veere Di Wedding.
The absence of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan aside, the picture does prove a reminder that the women power in the industry is growing, and with good reason.
