Actor Vikram's father laid to rest in Kilpauk cemetery

The mortal remains of Tamil star Vikram's father John Victor aka Vinod Raj, who passed away on 31 December, were laid to rest at the Kilpauk cemetery in the city on Monday.

Besides Vikram, Vinod Raj has another son and daughter. His second son Arvind lives in Dubai, while his daughter Anitha works as a teacher.

Vinod Raj, who had acted in some films including the blockbuster Ghillie (2004), in which he played Trisha's dad, was 80. 

Sources close to Vikram said the veteran suffered a heart attack at around 4pm on 31 December. The public paid homage to the actor whose body was kept at No 8, Murali Street, in Mahalingapuram, Kodambakkam.
