According to sources, Bhatt, Kapoor and director Ayan Mukerji have left for Tel Aviv on New Year’s Eve to prep for their roles in Brahmastra.

Director Ayan Mukerji’s most ambitious project Brahmastra is not far from getting under way. On New Year's Eve, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt flew out of the country to begin preparations for the adventure fantasy drama.
In the evening Johar confirmed that Kapoor and Bhatt have begun prepping for the film, and the shooting will begin in February.

According to sources, Bhatt, Kapoor and Mukerji have left for Tel Aviv, Israel on New Year’s Eve to prep for their roles in Brahmastra. Bhatt had arrived in India only on 31 December after spending Christmas in Indonesia.
Dharma Productions had announced the project in October last year. Amitabh Bachchan is also part of the cast.

Brahmastra will be a franchise, with the first film to be released on 15 August 2019. There is no official word on how many films will be made under the franchise, but Bhatt had told a daily (DNA) that Dragon (working title) would be a three-part series that will be shot over a period of 10 years.
Apart from Brahmastra, Bhatt also has to film Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy with Ranveer Singh.
