Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man is going places even before it has released. Co-producer Twinkle Khanna has been invited to speak at the Oxford Union, a debating society in the city of Oxford, England on 18 January.
Khanna will be speaking about the importance of talking about menstrual hygiene and the inspirational story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, on whom the film is based. He helped create awareness about menstrual hygiene in south India.
Pad Man will be the first Indian film to be screened at the Oxford Union.

Other eminent personalities who have spoken at the Oxford Union include Sashi Tharoor, the Dalai Lama, Michael Jackson, Malala Yousafzai, Salman Rushdie and Morgan Freeman.
Pad Man will be released on 25 January.
