Kamal Haasan to begin Tamil Nadu tour from APJ Abdul Kalam's residence

According to the actor, the decision was made because like Kalam, he too, has many dreams to fulfil. The journey will begin on 21 February.

Actor Kamal Haasan will start his Tamil Nadu tour on 21 February from the residence of former president APJ Abdul Kalam in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.

According to the actor, the decision was made because like Kalam, he too, has many dreams to fulfil.

When mediapersons asked Haasan what he intends to achieve by the tour, he said, "I want to showcase people to people [sic]. My desire is to make them realize their strength. Their strength is the nation's strength. They know, I am just going to remind them about it."

A reporter tried to ask a trick question by mis-quoting actor Rajinikanth, who has recently joined politics too. When asked about a possible alliance between the two actors in politics, according to the reporter, Rajinikanth had replied saying, "Only Haasan must give an answer to it." Haasan, however, correcting the reporter said, "No, that is not what Rajini said. Rajini said, 'Only time will tell.' Time is a good medicine for everything. Let it be the reply. I second his reply."

When pointed out that Rajinikanth had spoken about 'spiritual politics' and that he, on the other hand, was a known atheist, Haasan said, "I am a rationalist. I consider it important to know your God. After getting to know, with love, I will facilitate ways that will keep everyone united. For that, one can commit any sacrifice."
