Revealed! Taapsee Pannu, Saqib Saleem to be lead pair in Dil Juunglee

Pooja Films’ new romantic comedy, Dil Juunglee, scheduled to be released on 16 February, revealed the lead pair of the film through a funny video.

Eventually, Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem were announced as the film’s leads. The film is written and directed by first-time filmmaker Aleya Sen, who had shared the first poster of the film on Twitter.

Yesterday, the producers shared a teaser poster of the film. It had the lead pair with their faces hidden behind a magazine (Gruhashobha) and a diary. The post challenged the audiences to identify the two.

While the guessing continued on for long, actress Huma Qureshi too joined in. Her entry into the game, however, drew attention towards her brother Saqib Saleem.

Later on in the day, Pooja Films also shared a YouTube video, parodying the casting process.

Director Aleya Sen and producer Jackky Bhagnani are seen auditioning candidates at the Pooja Films office. While Jackky is hopeful the director would eventually cast him, Saleem wins the battle when he says, "I've learnt acting too." In a bold move, the video further pokes fun at Jackky as it points at the fact that most of his films have been produced by his father, Vashu.

Dil Juunglee, to be released on the Friday after Valentine’s Day, is produced by siblings Deepshikha Deshmukh and Jackky Bhagnani along with Mudit Jain and Mayank Jain.
