The makers of Sachin Kundalkar’s Marathi movie Gulabjam have come up with a unique and interesting teaser. The video manages to generate intrigue without showing any of its characters.

The film is introduced by Sonali Kulkarni's voiceover, who is to play the lead in the film. She explains her passion and her unique way of communicating with each recipe while she prepares it.

The visuals might look like the ones we have seen on the cooking shows, but the sweet commentary makes it stand apart from the food shows.

“What is cooking? It is to give some part of yourself to the dish,” Kulkarni says in the voiceover. Foodie or not, these lines are bound to leave you with a smile.

Kulkarni’s trademark voice plays its part well, supported by the pleasing and peppy tune.

Kundalkar is known for making films that appeal to both, traditional and modern, audiences and his last three films — Happy Journey (2014), Rajwade And Sons (2015) and Vazandar (2016) — were no different. Going by the teaser, Gulabjam is going to be no less.

To be released on 16 February, the film also stars Siddharth Chandekar and Madhura Deshpande.
