The filmmaker and actor recently worked with Rohatgi on the upcoming short film in the Love and Lust anthology.

Television actress Charu Rohatgi, who was acting in the television serial, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3, passed away due to the cardiac arrest on 15 January. She played the nani (grandmother) on the show.
Today, filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Vicky Kaushal both remembered the actress with whom they recently worked. She acted in the short film directed by Johar for the upcoming Love and Lust anthology. Filmmakers Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap have also directed shorts for the anthology produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
Johar wrote, “Was deeply saddened to hear this news.....we worked with her on our short and I still can’t believe she’s no more...,” while Kaushal said, “I recently had the wonderful oppurtunity of working with Charu Rohatgi ji and her sudden demise deeply saddens me. My condolences to her family. Always going to hold on to your kind words and blessings. RIP Charu Ma’m.”

She had appeared in Patiala House (2011), No One Killed Jessica (2011), Ishaqzaade (2012) and 1920 London (2016). In 2012, she had a significant role in Second Marriage Dot Com, directed by Gaurav Panjwani, as a divorcee who gets a second opportunity at love when her daughter decides to get her married again.
Arjun Kapoor, who acted with Rohatgi in Ishaqzaade (2012), wrote on Twitter, “Your presence in Ishaqzaade will always be recalled fondly. My prayers & strength to the family to deal with this loss.”
