Television actress Charu Rohatgi dies of a heart attack

Television actress Charu Rohatgi, who had acted in a few films, died this morning (15 January) of a heart attack.
Rohatgi was acting in the television serial, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3, as the nani, or maternal grandmother, of Barun Sobti’s character. According to a report on The Times of India newspaper's website, she was shooting for the serial till late last night.
Parineeti Chopra, who played Rohatgi’s daughter in Ishaqzaade (2012), tweeted her condolences to the family. She wrote: You were the most loving mother in Ishaqzaade and an amazing woman to work with.

Rohatgi had appeared in previous television shows like Pratigya, Uttaran and Trideviyaan. She began acting on Sony TV's Ladies Special after her two daughters got married. She has also acted in films like Patiala House (2011), No One Killed Jessica (2011), and 1920 London (2016).
