Vikram Bhatt’s 1921, Akshat Verma’s Kaalakaandi and Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz generated low collections in their first weekend. The films earned Rs6.25 crore, Rs2.90 crore and Rs4 crore in the first three days, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

1921 earned the highest among the three films released this week, but its numbers are still low. After opening to Rs1.50 crore on Friday, the Zareen Khan-starrer showed slight growth on Saturday (Rs2.25 crore) and Sunday (Rs2.50).

Starring Saif Ali Khan in the lead, Kaalakaandi opened to only Rs1 crore on Friday. Collections are usually expected to increase over the weekend. But in the case of Kaalakaandi, they fell. The movie earned Rs95 lakh each on Saturday and Sunday.

Mukkabaaz, which stars Vineet Kumar Singh and Zoya Hussain, has been receiving rave reviews. But the word-of-mouth has not reflected as earnings at the box office. The movie doubled its Friday numbers (Rs75 lakh) on Saturday to Rs1.50 crore. The film made Rs1.75 crore on Sunday.

No big Hindi film is slated to be released this Friday. But that won’t have much effect on the three aforementioned films.
