Going by the poster, Dixit's list apparently includes being a housewife, mother, friend, singer and dancer.

The title of Madhuri Dixit’s first Marathi film is Bucket List. Dixit and director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar shared the title and the first poster of the film yesterday, 14 January, on their respective Facebook pages.

The poster has a beautiful image of the actress in a saree with her trademark smile. The mangalsutra around her neck and the text on the poster suggest that she will be playing a housewife. The texts also hint that she is or aspires to be a singer and a dancer.

Bucket List also has Renuka Shahane in a pivotal role. Dixit and Shahane will be seen on the big screen for the first time after Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (1994).

In her four decade long career in cinema, this is the first time Dixit will be seen in a Marathi film. While speaking with Cinestaan.com in October last year, Deoskar had said that she always wanted to work in a Marathi film but never got an exciting script.

“She told me that she never felt she should not work in Marathi. It’s just that until she got a good script in Marathi, she wasn’t going to do it. She decided to do a Marathi film now because she got a good script. I don’t think she was never approached for a Marathi film before,” he said.

When asked about the film’s story, he said the film is the “journey of self-discovery of a woman. It’s a slice-of-life drama with slight humour. It’s a simple film.”

Produced by Blue Mustang and Dar Motion Pictures, Bucket List is all set to be released during summer this year.
