Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan have acted opposite each other in seven films over the years, beginning with Baazigar (1993). They last acted together in Dilwale (2015), directed by Rohit Shetty, which was the big blockbuster most fans were hoping for.
The fans will have to wait till December to see the two onscreen again. Kajol, in an interview with PTI, a news agency, talked about her experience of shooting for a cameo in Khan's upcoming film, Zero, directed by Aanand L Rai, with cousin Rani Mukerji. At the trailer launch of Hichki (2018), Mukerji called the reunion, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Part 2”.
“We actually shot for half-an-hour, but it was great. It's always fabulous to work with him. He is a really amazing man to work with because he is 300% involved in whatever he is doing. It's great fun because he is such a fine actor that it comes very naturally to work with him and alongside him," Kajol told PTI.
Reportedly, most of the actresses who have worked with Khan earlier, including Sridevi, Karisma Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, have a cameo in Zero.
Kajol has done the most number of cameos for Khan's films and it seems it has worked wonders for him – she had a special appearance in Duplicate (1998), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007), and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008).
Zero, which features Khan as a dwarf, also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The film is due to be released on 21 December 2018.
