Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are all set to begin filming the title track of their upcoming film, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The two play a runaway couple who take refuge at a Kumaoni wedding while on the run from people who want them dead.
The DNA newspaper reported that Kapoor would be shooting for a “high-energy dance track in which his character takes centre stage.” The film’s cast and crew has spent the month of December shooting in north India near the mountains.
Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film’s synopsis states that Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is “a story of a man and a woman who represent two completely different Indias. This story could happen to any of us in contemporary India. But it happens to Sandeep and Pinky. Two more unlikely protagonists in one film are unimaginable. They are united in one thing only. Their mistrust, suspicion, and hate for each other.”
Kapoor and Chopra acted together in Yash Raj Films’ Ishaqzaade (2012) and have two releases together in 2018 — Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Namastey England. The former is due to be released on 3 August 2018 while the latter’s release date has not yet been announced.
