Writer-directors Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru made Hindi cinema’s first zom-com, aka zombie comedy with Go Goa Gone (2013) and the two are ready to return to the horror comedy genre with their upcoming film starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. The lead actor announced the film’s title, Stree, today (11 January) on Twitter.
The new production, directed by first-time filmmaker Amar Kaushik and written by Krishna and Raj, went on the floors today as well. Kaushik had assisted the writers on Go Goa Gone and recently assisted Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi on Beyond The Clouds (2017). Kaushik has previously made the short film, Aaba, set in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh. Aaba was showcased at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2017 in November.
