After months of speculation and waiting, Mani Ratnam's massive multi-starrer project has gone on the floors. The bilingual stars a cast of Arvind Swamy, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari and Aishwarya Rajesh among others.
The Tamil version will be called Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and the Telegu version is titled Nawab.
The first look of the film was released by actress-director Suhasini Mani Ratnam, wife of Mani Ratnam.

The film has been in the limbo for a while, and there were also rumours of Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil walking out of the film. However, that remains unconfirmed.
As for the first look, the eyes of Silambarasan Rathnasam, Arvind Swamy, Vijay Sethupathi stare out from the ochre background of a dusty Chennai city. The factory setting that underlines these profiles implies that the film might have the touch of a gritty noir.
Produced by Lyca Productions, which is also producing the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0, and Madras Talkies, the film will have AR Rahman composing background music.
The release date of the film hasn't been announced yet.
