Director Umesh Shukla became a known name with OMG: Oh My God! (2012) that was not only critically appreciated, but also performed well at the box office. But his next outing in 2015, All Is Well, simply bombed.
It seems the filmmaker has plans of returning to his winning ways with his latest outing 102 Not Out. The film's teaser was released today (9 February).
The film reunites Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor on-screen after a long gap of 27 years. The last time they acted together was in Shashi Kapoor’s directorial Ajooba (1991). 102 Not Out has Bachchan play a 102-year old father to a 75-year old son, played by Kapoor.
The teaser is replete with funny and heart-warming moments between the father-son duo. The two veteran actors appear fantastic together. The emotional background score also adds to the mood. The prostethics and the make-up do their job well, and make the elderly characters believable.
In the end of one minute teaser Bachchan, as the centenarian, announces that he will be the first father in the world to send his son to an old age home!
The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
