Irrfan Khan invited to Harvard Business School to speak on 'Disruptive Innovation'

It looks like the United States can't get enough of Irrfan Khan. The actor has been invited by the Harvard Business School to deliver a speech later this month. Khan, who has enjoyed a fantastic career in Hollywood through films like The Namesake (2007) and Life Of Pi (2012), will reportedly speak on 'Disruptive Innovation in India'. 

The news report in DNA, a daily,  quoted a source saying, "This is the first time Irrfan has been invited to give a speech at Harvard. It’s a highly prestigious platform and he will be joining the list of the brightest minds of this event." 

'Disruptive innovation' is a business term referring to any new innovation that leads to a disruption in the status quo of an ongoing establishment. Khan's rise as a bankable actor of the new wave of content-heavy Hindi cinema is one of the reasons for him being chosen to speak on this theme. The actor's Hindi Medium (2017) managed to pick up the National award for Best Film in a year that saw Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan deliver flops. 

Incidentally, Shah Rukh Khan is among the many Indian actors who have visited Harvard University. Last year, saw Kamal Haasan and R Madhavan deliver speeches at the prestigious university in Massachusetts. 

The Qariib Qarib Singlle (2017) actor is currently shooting for a web-series and is expected to fly to Boston later in the week.
