Filmmaker Sajid Khan has returned to the Housefull franchise to direct its fourth instalment.

Production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, has announced that Housefull 4 will be 'a first of its kind' to be released in 3D. "Housefull 4 will be the first of its kind to give the audience a 3D experience in the comedy genre," read a statement.

The film will be an out-and-out comedy, revolving around the theme of reincarnation and set in two different eras; one set in the modern times and the other in a "Baahubali like" period. The makers have alloted Rs75 crores for the film's VFX. “Set in two different eras, one will be the current times and the other will be like the Bahubali era, the film is projected to have a VFX budget of 75 crores,” said the statement.

The cast of the film is currently kept under wraps.

However, according to another statement from the producers, the cast of all the three earlier instalments will unite for Housefull 4: “While an announcement on the official cast has been awaited, the cast of all the three films might come together for this colossal project.”

Housefull 4 will be released in Diwali 2019.
