Though there were rumours earlier that talks were being held with Nayanthara, they were not confirmed until this evening.

The team of Ajith Kumar's Viswasam has officially announced that actress Nayanthara, the biggest female star in Tamil cinema today, will play the female lead in the film.
This will be the fourth time the two stars will be acting together in a film.
Sathya Jyothi Films, producers of the eagerly awaited Viswasam, made the announcement a short while ago.

The film is being directed by Koratala Siva and will have music by Vivek-Mervin and cinematography by Vetri.
