Actor Anil Kapoor won’t be competing with himself on 15 June any more. His film, Fanne Khan, directed by first-time filmmaker Atul Manjrekar, is now due to be released on 13 June, two days before it was going to clash with Remo D’Souza’s Race 3, starring Salman Khan and himself.

Instead, the film, produced by KriArj Entertainment, ROMP Pictures and T-Series, has added to two extra days to win over audiences before the Eid weekend, beginning on 15 July.

Both Fanne Khan and Race 3 are multi-starrers. Besides Kapoor, Fanne Khan also stars Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao. The film is an official remake of Belgian film Everybody’s Famous! (2000), which was nominated for an Academy Award for foreign film in 2001.

Meanwhile, Race 3 is the third instalment in the franchise with newcomers Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, and Daisy Shah, all joining the series. Kapoor is the only Race franchise veteran, having acted in both Race (2008) and Race 2 (2013).
