Actor Vishal Krishna has dismissed reports of being hospitalised in New Delhi.
The news began making rounds soon after the actor announced that he will be on a break for a fortnight. Vishal is also the secretary of the South Indian Artistes' Association (Nadigar Sangam) and president of the Tamil Film Producers' Council.
Refuting the rumours, he posted a tweet yesterday (27 February), that read, "Rumours making rounds that I am admitted in a hospital. Wanted to let all my friends, fans and well wishers know that I am fit as a fiddle. The retreat I came for to take care of my migraine will get over in few days and I will be back in the grind by the 1st week of March. C U Soon, GB."
Sources close to the actor say he has been at a retreat centre for the treatment of migraine, which became acute after he played a squint-eyed character in Bala's Avan Ivan (2011). Acting with a squint-eye has left the actor with red eyes and headache.
"It's not easy to sport a squint as there's tremendous pressure on the eyes. Vishal had to fight, dance and concentrate on his acting as well, all the while sporting the squint. It was a tough ask, but he rose up to that challenge. In fact, while shooting, his eyes would turn blood red after each shot and would end up with a severe headache. But despite all that, he delivered," a source said.
