Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s admiration for Sridevi is well-known. The director was shattered yesterday after the news of her sudden and shocking demise came out. Hence, he decided to postpone the title announcement and poster release of his next action film with star Nagarjuna.

In an announcement on Twitter, he said, “At this grief stricken moment of the demise of Sridevi, neither me nor @iamnagarjuna are in a state of mind to release the title and release date poster of #NagRGV4 ..it will be announced later.”

Not only Varma and Nagarjuna, but also the latter’s fans were looking forward to the poster and title release. The #NagRGV4 had been trending on Twitter.

The two have collaborated on quite a few films together. Their first Telugu film Siva (1989), which was made in Hindi as Shiva (1990), became the turning point for both of them. It was Varma’s debut, which turned out to be super successful.

The postponement announcement came moments after RGV shared a long and emotional post on his Facebook page on the passing away of Sridevi. Not just that, the filmmaker has been continuously writing posts on Facebook and Twitter expressing his grief over the incident.
