There is further delay in the arrival of Sridevi’s mortal remains to India. The formalities in Dubai will be completed soon and the deceased Indian actress will be repatriated by around 4pm, as reported by a UAE based newspaper, Khaleej Times.
Indian consulate officials have told Khaleej Times that after receiving police clearance and forensic reports, the other procedures including, immigration, embalming would be completed and officials are hopeful that the actress’ body will be ready to be brought back by around in the next 3-4 hours.
Sridevi (1963-2018): Chandni fades away
Sridevi passed away on Saturday (24 February). The actress was found unconscious in the bathroom of her room in Hotel Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. While the final autopsy report is awaited, it is widely believed that Sridevi died of cardiac arrest.
She is survived by her husband Boney Kapoor and two daughters, Jahnvi and Khushi. Sridevi has acted in over 250 films spanning across four languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
