Blackmail song: Irrfan Khan anything but 'Happy Happy' in cheeky track

After a quirky trailer of Blackmail, the makers have released the 'Happy Happy' song. The highly entertaining pop score cheekily shows the merry-go-round tale of all the lead protagonists in the film, played by Irrfan Khan, Kirti Kulhari, Divya Dutta and Arunoday Singh.

The 'Happy Happy' song cheekily mocks at the predicament of Dev, who is being blackmailed by an office colleague, and also a goon called Chawla, for blackmailing his infidel wife (Kulhari).

Without the visuals, the 'Happy Happy' duet (penned, crooned and composed by Badshah) would be hard to decipher. The Hindi-English mish-mash lyrics, that almost sound like gibberish, are more fun with visuals. Badshah is his usual self, but it’s Aastha Gill who is the more convincing singer here. Badshah deserves all credit for churning out a groovy pop number.

Be it Kulhari, Dutta or Khan's colleague, women are very much on top, playing mind games with the men around them.

Blackmail will be released on 6 April.
