In normal circumstances, the next film in a franchise is announced either just before the release or after. At times, a film's ending hints at the possibility of the next film in the series. But, producer Sajid Nadiadwala took everyone by surprise by announcing Baaghi 3 even before the trailer of Baaghi 2 was released.
The producer has revealed the reason for the same. “After seeing the film and the trailer my confidence raised. I had the content for Baaghi 3. I felt that it is the right time to announce (sic),” he said in an official statement.
The action-packed trailer of Baaghi 2 was well received by the audience when it was released earlier in the week.

Nadiadwala believes that if he had announced the third film in the franchise later, people would have felt the producers decided to make Baaghi 3 because the trailer of the second film was well appreciated. “I didn't want it to look like just because the trailer is accepted, Baaghi 3 is being made,” he added.
Baaghi 2 is the official remake of director Ravikanth Perepu’s Telugu film Kshanam (2016).
The producer has already announced that Tiger Shroff will be part of the third film as well. But they haven’t announced the lead actress for the film. Shraddha Kapoor was cast in the first film, while Disha Patani stars in Baaghi 2.
