Director Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Namastey England finally went on the floors today in Amritsar, Punjab yesterday. The team of Shah, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra kicked off the shoot by visiting the iconic Golden Temple in the city.
Kapoor believes it was a special moment to start off in this fashion. “Being there evokes a surreal feeling. To visit the temple on the same day when my film rolls, is a memory that will always be special,” he said in an official statement.
The trio started the shoot by shooting a comical scene in a bylane near the spiritual site. While speaking about the scene, a person from the unit of the film said in the same statement, “Given Arjun and Parineeti's rapport, their shot worked out smoothly without many retakes.”
As per the makers, the shoot will be a fortnight long. Following this, they will head to Patiala, another city in Punjab, for the next schedule.
