Varun Dhawan's credits Banita Sandhu for bringing out the best in him

Actor Varun Dhawan, who will be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s romantic film October with debutant Banita Sandhu, has showered praises on his co-actor.

“Banita is someone that I'm so fond of. I can definitely say that she's done an incredible job. The amount that she has given to this film, very rarely an actor gives that. You give so much and then there's that extra percentage where you don't give because it can also harm you. But, she went for it,” Dhawan told entertainment website Pinkvilla.com.

The actor also credited Sandhu for bringing the best out of him in the film. It is a first Sircar film for Dhawan.

"If I had to give people credit, I'd give dada (Shoojit Sircar) obviously, Juhi and I will give credit to Banita also for myself in the film because if it was not for her, if it was not for her eyes, if it was not for her soul, I would not be able to be me in this film," the actor stated.

October will be released on 13 April.
