Fans of Swwapnil Joshi were in for a surprise yesterday when producers Ganraj Associates shared the first poster of his next film. The surprise factor is the reference to India’s cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar in the title, Mee Pan Sachin.
The poster shows Joshi’s face with a stern, determined expression. On one hand he's seen wearing a glove, covering the lower portion of his face. It's fairly clear that Joshi plays a cricketer or someone associated with the sport in the film.
The poster also shows a kid wearing a batsman’s kit standing tall in a flood lit stadium. Now, the kid can either be the younger self of Joshi's character or an aspiring cricketer. This is what one can guess from the poster since the story is kept under wraps currently.
Going by this and the title Mee Pan Sachin, we are reminded of the Rajesh Mapuskar’s Hindi directorial debut Ferrari Ki Sawaari (2012). The film was about a child, who literally worships Tendulkar, and his determination to be a champion batsman.
Mee Pan Sachin is written and directed by Shreyash Jadhav.
