Actor Hrithik Roshan is currently busy shooting for his ambitious project, Super 30. Directed by Vikas Bahl of Queen (2014) fame, the film is a biopic on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar. Some pictures from the shoot, shared by his fan club on Instagram, went viral on social media recently.
Hrithik is almost unrecognizable in them. The actor is seen in a completely de-glam avatar as a poor commoner on the road, selling papads (papadum) on an old bicycle. His sweaty shirt and unshaven look goes with his character.
This is the first time in Hrithik’s career that he is seen in such an avatar. The actor has mostly played rich or upper middle class characters. Even in Fiza (2000), where he played a criminal, and Mission Kashmir (2000), where his character stayed with a terrorist and was about to become one, he was in a glamorous avatar.
Mathematician Kumar gained fame for teaching students from poor backgrounds on how to crack the IIT and JEE exams free of cost.
Produced by Phantom Films and Reliance Entertainment, Super 30 will be released on 25 January 2019. Hrithik’s last film Kaabil was also released on the same date in 2017.
