Welcome to New York song: Diljit Dosanjh's swag not enough to save 'Meher Hai Rab Di'

The insipid Hindi Punjabi lyrics penned by Kumaar are poor, to say the least.

Actors Diljit Dosanjh and Sonakshi Sinha’s Welcome to New York comes across as a mass masala entertainer. After the poor 'Ishtehaar' song, the makers have released 'Meher Hai Rab Di'. Sadly, it turns out to be yet another average track.

The insipid Hindi Punjabi lyrics penned by Kumaar are poor, to say the least. When you come across such nonsensical lyrics, it makes you question the motive of the writer.

The music by Meet Bros is too loud and cliched, like a someone is honking in your ears. Though Mika Singh gives his best, the singer cannot do much to lift the track. One can barely hear Khushboo Grewal, so this reviewer will save his comments for later when the extended version is released.

The song is watchable purely for Dosanjh’s style and swag. It is a tad over-the-top, but appealing. Dosanjh’s co-star Sinha’s antics don’t really amuse you.

Despite the presence of Dosanjh, 'Meher Hai Rab Di' is still an eye sore.

Welcome to New York will be released on 23 February.
