The much awaited official poster of Kaushik Ganguly’s upcoming film Drishtikone has been released. The film is Ganguly’s first project with onscreen power couple Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta.

The poster features the profiles of both the protagonists with a sleek look and a significant twist in Chatterjee’s appearance.

It has already taken the film fraternity by storm as best wishes poured in for the actors. On a recent post on Twitter, Kaushik also shared his joy for being done with the dubbing for the film.

According to the director of Chalo Let’s Go (2008), Shabdo (2013), Cinemawala (2016), Chotushkone (2014) and Bisorjon (2018), it took a long time for him to conceive a project to direct Chatterjee in.

Drishtikone tells the story of a relationship between lawyer Mr Mitra (Chatterjee) and his client Mrs Sen (Sengupta), from different perspectives. Hence, the title of the film is Drishtikone which means perspective in Bengali.

Besides the star cast, Churni Ganguly and the director himself are also reportedly going to enact important characters in the film.

The 50th production of Surinder Films, Drishtikone will bring Chatterjee and Sengupta together after two years since Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s superhit film, Praktan (2016). The music for Drishtikone has been composed and arranged by Anupam Roy, who has also worked with the director in Chotushkone (2014).

Drishtikone will be released on 13 April.
