Targeting a 2020 release for Rambo: Director Siddharth Anand

The official Hindi remake of Hollywood superstar Sylvester Stallone’s cult classic action drama Rambo (1982) has been been pushed to 2020. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand  and starring Tiger Shroff, was slated to be released this year.

The reason for the delay is the change in schedules of Shroff's dream film with Hrithik Roshan, that will be produced by Yash Raj Films and also directed by Anand.

Speaking to Cinestaan.com, director Anand said, “Rambo was supposed to begin in 2018, but it got pushed once Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff signed for the Yash Raj Films project. We decided to shoot the YRF film first. Rambo shoot begins once we wrap up the YRF film. We are targeting a 2020 release for Rambo.”

Hrithik and Shroff's action film has been pushed to Gandhi Jayanti (2 October) 2019.

The Hrithik-Shroff action drama was initially slated to be released on Republic Day in 2019, but has now been postponed as it will go on the floors only by August 2018.

Rambo will not start rolling until late December 2018, once Shroff wraps up the YRF  film. Rambo will be shot in the Himalayas.
