Post his return from prison, Sanjay Dutt has had his kettle full. His comeback film Bhoomi (2017) did not do well at the box office, but the actor has his hopes high on his next, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3.  The film is set to be released on 27 July this year, two days before the actor’s 59th birthday.

Dutt made the announcement on Twitter and also shared his look from the film. "#SahebBiwiAurGangster3 to hit the screens on 27th July, 2018. Mark the date! Produced by @rahulmittra13, Directed by @dirtigmanshu and Presented by @rajuchadhawave," he wrote.

"My gangster is never an out and out gangster. He has solid reasons for doing what he is doing in the film,” Director Tigmanshu Dhulia had told Cinestaan.com in an interview last year.

Dutt certainly does not look like a stereotypical gangster. The smart suit, stylish hairdo and beard, make him look a bit too cool for a killer.

In the first instalment of the Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster series, Randeep Hooda’s economic condition has him opt for a dirty job, the second film had Irrfan Khan play a poetic gangster. We wonder what kind of gangster will Dhulia bring out of Dutt.

However, playing a ganster will not be something new for Dutt. Aatish (1994) and Vaastav (1999) saw him become a gangster for the tragedies he faced, while in Rajkumar Hirani's Munna Bhai franchise, Dutt played a gangster with a sense of humour and a soft heart.

It is too early to gauge how Dutt will be in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3. Going purely by his looks, he sure means business. The film will also have Chitrangada Singh and Jimmy Shergill in lead roles.
