Irrfan Khan runs half-naked in another light-hearted drama: Blackmail teaser

Director Abhinay Deo is best known for his adult comedy Delhi Belly (2011). Produced by Aamir Khan and starring Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapur, the film became a surprise hit in the metros. 

It seems his latest film, Blackmail is very much in the Delhi Belly zone. The teaser of the film was released today. 

Blackmail stars Irrfan Khan, however, the teaser does not show his face. The video has him running half naked, with a suggestive carry bag over his face. He seems to be running away from a group of people who are chasing him. 

Explaining his state, he says he is a part of a ‘historical kaand (slang for mess).’ One can only guess that the character had to make a run for his life just as he was getting intimate with someone. 

Khan is known for doing offbeat films like Maqbool (2004), The Namesake (2007) and The Lunchbox (2013). However, for the past few years, he has been regularly starring in light-hearted commercial films like Piku (2015), Hindi Medium (2017) and Qarib Qarib Singlle (2017). 

Produced by Ramesh Deo Productions and T-Series, Blackmail will be released on 6 April. The trailer of the film will be out on 22 February.
